Elkhorn Ranch - Mt. Idaho Beef
Mt. Idaho Beef is raised on pastures located in the Big Lost River Valley in central Idaho. The Big Lost River Valley is home to 7 of the 9 tallest mountains in the State of Idaho. This highland desert, known for it towering mountains and picturesque views is prime country for raising beef. The name sake of the beef comes from Mt. Idaho, which towers directly above our ranch and sits between Mt. Borah (Tallest mtn.) and Leatherman Peak (2nd tallest mtn.). The pastures are fed by the various streams and underwater aquifer. The water from annual snowfall on Mt. Idaho runs down Elkhorn Creek, to the pastures on our family ranch, Elkhorn Ranch. The pastures are fed by Elkhorn Creek, the Big Lost River, and the Chilly Slough, which provide ample area for our cattle to humanely roam naturally and produce the high-quality beef for your table.
